National museum of transport and communications

The National Museum of Transport and Communications has been established an the occasion of 100-year anniversary of railway transport in Bulgaria. It was opened on 26 June 1996. It is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria.
The Museum is situated in the building of the first railway station in Bulgaria, constructed along the Danube bank and announced nowadays for a record of the past. Interesting exponents that display the history and development of transport and communications in Bulgaria are exhibited in the three sections of the Museum – railway transport, river navigation and communications (post office, telegraph, telephone, radio, television).
